Safari Baby Shower
A few weeks ago, I had the honor of co-hosting a baby shower for my friends, Liz & Dan who are in the process of adopting a little girl named Avery. It was safari-themed and I was in charge of decorations. Check out my creations in this picture-heavy post!
The main centerpiece - a weaved vase with palm leaves, twigs, and an exotic flower behind a safari fan, stuffed animal, and wooden picture frame with a photograph of Liz & Dan's daughter inside. This is a lime green plastic tablecloth with a bamboo runner on it.
As subsequent centerpieces, I placed picture frames with safari mommies & babies, pictures of Avery, safari fans, and jungle animal stuffed animals.
The vase and its contents were all purchased at AC Moore.
The favors were purchased here from Etsy.
The party theme colors were pink, green, and brown. Green napkins, pink cups, and pink silverware. The plates were safari. A moses basket with a stuffed monkey and fan were used to hold all of the silverware/paper goods.
Chinese lanterns, balloons, swirlies, grass fringe, and, of course, baby shower signs were all used as decorations. Framed pictures of Avery as well of wild jungle animals were placed throughout the house.
The favor was decorated with a centerpiece, brown plastic tablecloth, and green pashmina. Each favor was in a favor box with a ribbon and label. Inside each favor box was a homemade vegan soap in an animal shape in pink or gray.
